Job summary

KFM Engineering & Design is seeking a Survey CAD Technician to support field-to-finish survey work across Texas. This full-time, on-site role requires drafting 2D/3D plans, using Civil3D, and coordinating with field crews, engineers, and project managers to deliver accurate survey deliverables.

You will perform property research, prepare field crew materials, and interpret deeds and plats, with opportunities for growth into project management and SIT/RPLS pathways within a team-focused

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of AutoCAD experience in land surveying and engineering.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule outside of standard weekday business hours, as needed to meet project deadlines and business needs.
• Experience with Civil3D and Trimble Business Center preferred.
• Familiarity with LiDAR data collection and processing.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate maps and information to field crews based on the specific requirements and scope of each project.
• Interpret and analyze survey-related materials such as deeds, plats, and title commitments to ensure precise and reliable data.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and consistency across all projects.
• Utilization of survey line coding techniques to aid in drafting efficiently.
• Use Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center software for drafting, processing, and data analysis (experience with these platforms preferred).
• Integrate and apply data gathered from aerial and terrestrial LiDAR technologies to enhance survey accuracy and efficiency (familiarity with LiDAR systems preferred).
