Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, seeks a highly motivated Support Equipment Sustainment Engineering Specialist to support Military Engine Programs including F135, F119, and F117.

You will integrate SE repair engineering, warehouse support, and container lifecycle management to boost readiness across multiple programs, identifying repair opportunities and coordinating with engineering and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical field with 5+ years (or 3+ with Master’s) of relevant experience.
• Technical understanding of support equipment maintenance, repair and overhaul.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings; familiar with dimensional inspection processes.
• Capability to complete minor repairs of SE assets.
• Proficiency in disassembling and assembling SE assets for inspection.
• Direct experience supporting military programs/customers.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, dispositions, and serviceability assessments for support equipment.
• Determine repair requirements, verify part numbers, and perform minor corrective repairs.
• Ensure conformance to Cost Estimate Sheets (CES) and communicate updates to fleet management.
• Document container and crate inspection results with reports and photos for compliance.
• Adhere to warehouse SOPs and implement industry best practices.
• Collaborate with PHS&T and Project Engineering on container development and process improvements.
• Collect and analyze data to support SE design and repair procedure improvements.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
