Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality programs and drive continuous improvement. You will interface with suppliers and cross-functional teams to qualify new suppliers, approve parts, resolve nonconformities, and support supplier transitions.

The role requires a engineering degree and 3+ years of related experience, with 5+ years preferred, plus certifications such as ASQ or Six Sigma. Onsite in Plymouth, MN with up to 15% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of related experience or training.
• Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial, mechanical, or HVAC (preferred).
• Professional certifications such as ASQ, Six Sigma or similar (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess supplier performance with analytical methods and present improvement recommendations.
• Maintain regular contact with current and potential suppliers on projects and audits.
• Evaluate potential new suppliers and make recommendations after thorough vetting.
• Issue SCARs and assist suppliers in implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor SCARs to ensure timely and effective responses.
• Represent quality during new product development and supplier transitions.
• Identify PPAP levels and obtain PPAP approval.
• Manage multiple projects and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Engage in Supplier Change Requests as needed.
