Position Summary:
The Onsite Supervisor is responsible for the overall coordination and management of temporary employees at the client location. This position serves as the primary liaison between the client, hiring managers, and the staffing agency to ensure workforce needs are met efficiently. The Onsite Supervisor oversees recruiting, onboarding, payroll, safety compliance, employee relations, and daily workforce operations while providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing
- Recruit, interview, and submit qualified candidates to client hiring managers
- Coordinate drug screenings, background checks, and new hire onboarding paperwork
- Review associate availability and ensure staffing needs are consistently met
- Assist with employee replacements or assignment terminations as needed
Employee Relations & Workforce Management
- Follow up with supervisors to ensure staffing requirements are fulfilled
- Supervise and support temporary associates and team leads
- Monitor employee attendance and daily workforce activities
- Track employee headcount and hours worked on a daily and weekly basis
- Recommend employee performance evaluations to managers and supervisors
Payroll & Administrative Support
- Review employee worked hours and verify payroll accuracy
- Correct missing punches by coordinating with employees and client representatives
- Update payroll sheets and employee information in company systems
- Prepare payroll reports and submit them to Corporate by required deadlines
- Prepare weekly attendance reports
- Organize, file, and maintain employee documentation
- Pick up and distribute payroll checks as required
Safety & Compliance
- Conduct workplace safety inspections and walkthrough audits
- Perform new hire safety orientations and safety training
- Conduct employee safety meetings and attend safety committee meetings
- Ensure employees have appropriate PPE, safety training, and department training
- Verify forklift certifications are current and coordinate certification for new operators
- Investigate workplace injuries and complete accident reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies, client expectations, and safety regulations
Client & Operational Support
- Serve as the primary onsite contact between the client and staffing agency
- Attend company and client meetings as requested
- Review client expectations and operational requirements with employees
- Maintain professional communication with employees, supervisors, and management
- Provide emergency staffing support when needed
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in staffing, recruiting, human resources, or onsite supervision preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general computer applications
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- English communication required
- Spanish bilingual skills preferred but not required
- Ability to maintain confidential employee information
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Reliable attendance and professional demeanor
