As an On-Site Substitute Teacher, you will be a crucial part of our team, stepping into our beautiful, high-quality classrooms when we need you most. You’ll support our dedicated lead teachers by engaging children in learning activities, meal times, and nap periods, ensuring continuity of our child-centered curriculum based on Constructivist Theory. Your role is vital in maintaining our high standards and fostering the nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that defines Learning Grove.

Job Requirements

• Education & Certification:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A Child Development Associate (CDA) certification, or progress toward a degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, is preferred.
  • Completion of a State Approved Orientation for Child Care Providers, with daily implementation supported by the Director/Assistant Director.
• Experience & Skills:
  • Prior experience working with young children, demonstrating effective classroom management using positive redirection, problem solving, setting appropriate limits, and active listening.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusivity, with the ability to maintain confidentiality regarding program details.
• Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

  • Maintain positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and team members, and safeguard confidential information regarding the program, families, and staff.

Salary

• Competitive, industry-standard compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
