Job summary

Connexion Systems & Engineering Inc. is seeking a Structural Engineer for a 3-year contract, with 100% on-site work to begin in Bedford, MA.

The role focuses on structural analysis and prototype hardware for national security missions, requiring strong Femap/Nastran experience and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. The candidate will perform finite element analyses, test support from modal to vibration/shock, and prepare technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Femap/Nastran structural analysis including bolts and margin assessments.
• 5 years of SolidWorks or comparable CAD experience.
• Engineering documentation, procedures, work instructions, and document control.
• MS Office tools including Word, Excel, Project, and Visio.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Degree Level: B.S. in Aerospace or Mechanical Eng with 5 years structural analysis OR M.S. with 3 years structural analysis.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document structural analyses using Femap/Nastran across components, assemblies, and bolted joints.
• Evaluate structural performance, margins, and ensure rigorous documentation.
• Prepare clear technical documentation and presentations; coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide hands-on test support, including instrumented hammer modal testing, random vibration and shock testing.
• Support design reviews, test planning, and digital engineering activities across the program lifecycle.
• Communicate analysis status to management and sponsors, align with project schedules.
