Job summary

SpaceX Bastrop, TX is seeking a civil/structural engineer to join the Project Team. You will collaborate with engineers across disciplines to design and build infrastructure for large capital projects, and you will prepare drawings, design documentation, and reports for manufacturing and site construction.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and the ability to work onsite at the Bastrop facility, with travel and extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in engineering or construction.
• PE license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multi-discipline infrastructure project team for civil/structural engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
• Develop and issue drawings, design documentation, and reports for civil/structural aspects of projects.
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors.
• Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and cost control reports.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field and coordinate with stakeholders.
