Job summary

ERM in Lebanon, Indiana seeks an experienced onsite EHS leader to direct the C&Q HSE team of 6–8 project leads and specialists during startup and commissioning. You will establish consistent safety expectations, mentor staff, and coordinate with client leadership to drive safe, compliant startup practices.

Responsibilities include advancing LOTO and SWP programs, leading incident investigations, developing performance metrics, and overseeing environmental requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, or related discipline preferred.
• 10+ years of EHS experience.
• Minimum 5 years supporting commissioning, qualification, startup, or operational readiness.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification.
• Experience leading EHS professionals, contractors, or project teams.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Lebanon, Indiana.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the onsite C&Q HSE team.
• Establish consistent HSE expectations, processes, and field practices across startup areas.
• Mentor and support Node Leads and HSE professionals.
• Interface with client startup leadership and project stakeholders.
• Lead startup planning, readiness reviews, and operational transition activities.
• Identify startup risks and develop practical mitigation strategies.
• Maintain and improve LOTO and SWP strategies and compliance.
• Audit LOTO and SWP implementation and provide oversight of high-risk work.
• Develop startup safety performance metrics and drive corrective actions.
