Job summary

KIPP DC is seeking a Specialized Instructional Coach to support teachers in implementing specialized instruction across elementary, middle, and high schools. Based in Washington, DC, this full-time, on-site role partners with School Leaders and the Director of Student Support to raise student achievement.

The coach analyzes data, conducts co-observations, designs professional development, and leads IEP-related supports, case management, and curriculum alignment for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s or bachelor’s with SPED certification required.
• Experience with IEP goals and progress monitoring.
• Strong track record of student performance improvements.
• Experience coaching teachers and leaders in classrooms.

Responsibilities

• Coaching and professional development—design and facilitate PD to improve instructional practices.
• Review student data and guide proficiency in specialized instruction.
• Provide coaching, modeling, and resources to refine teaching for students with disabilities.
• Case management and IEP documentation and progress reporting.
• Remain current on best practices in teaching and disabilities.
