Job summary

RTX in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled Software Test Engineer II for the Patriot Software Team in Tewksbury. The role requires onsite work, collaboration with software developers and system architects, and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

You will design, implement, and execute tests to ensure our solutions meet customer requirements on a global scale. The ideal candidate has a STEM degree and at least two years of software testing experience, with knowledge of validation,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Experience with Software Engineering.
• Experience in Validation, Verification, Requirements Analysis and/or Testing.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Review Software Requirements to ensure clarity and testability.
• Write test objectives to guide testing.
• Design test cases (manual and automated) based on objectives.
• Execute test cases in on-site lab environment.
• Analyze test results and document discrepancies.
• Collaborate with other test engineers and developers to ensure integration and functionality.
• This position requires onsite presence and extensive interaction with Systems Design engineering and the Software Development Team.
• Off hours testing (2nd or 3rd shift) occasionally may be required.
