Job summary
Nightwing seeks a skilled Software Engineer to provide onsite development and operational support for deployed production systems in the customer space. The role combines hands-on troubleshooting with designing and developing software solutions within a microservices architecture, leveraging Java, MongoDB, MariaDB, Docker, and Kubernetes.
The candidate must have an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance, a Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or related field, and 5+ years of experience, including cloud
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in developing Java web applications within microservices architectures.
- Experience with MongoDB and MariaDB, including configuration and query optimization.
- Familiarity with RabbitMQ for messaging in distributed systems.
- Experience deploying and monitoring cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (Microsoft Hypervisor).
- Familiarity with DevOps/CI-CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab).
- Secure coding practices for mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide onsite support for Java-based web apps in a microservices architecture.
- Lead root cause analysis and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with customer teams to integrate solutions with legacy systems.
- Support and optimize MongoDB and MariaDB operations.
- Develop, test, and deploy software enhancements on Rocky Linux platforms.
- Manage deployments across AWS/Azure/Google Cloud and virtualization environments.
- Document issues and health updates for stakeholders.
