Job summary

Swoon is seeking a Database analyst/programmer for a 12-month contract, onsite in Peoria, IL. Must relocate within 2 weeks of offer; relocation not covered. 2+ years experience, associates degree required, bachelor’s preferred.

Role focuses on Snowflake DBA, data governance and architecture, SQL, Python, ETL, and BI tooling with Power BI or Tableau. The candidate will manage access controls, coordinate database changes, optimize costs, and support modernization from SAS to a modern reporting

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in computer programming or relevant field required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Snowflake Database Administration including implementation, debugging, troubleshooting and tracing.
• Data Governance and Architecture responsibilities.
• Strong SQL and query engineering, data pipeline and ETL development.
• Python scripting and automation.
• Data pipeline/ETL with cloud scheduling (AWS Lambda).
• Role-based access controls and documentation of architecture.
• BI tooling experience with Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Experience with non-Snowflake sources (DB2, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server, NAS, SharePoint).
• Snowflake cost/storage optimization and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Test programs or databases, fix errors and implement changes.
• Modify existing databases and DBMS.
• Coordinate database development within project teams.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions for DBMS.
• Assess user needs to estimate time and cost for projects.
• Own end-to-end user access management and RBAC.
