Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions seeks a Junior Data Engineer in Plano, TX for a 4-month contract to hire on-site engagement. The role focuses on data warehousing, cloud data solutions, and practical Snowflake, Python, and SQL work to support ongoing data initiatives.

You will design and maintain relational databases and data models, write queries, and collaborate with data architects and analysts to deliver reliable, accessible data solutions for the business.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in data engineering or a related technical role.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Python, and SQL.
• Working knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms.
• Familiarity with relational database design, data modeling, and logical workflows.
• Understanding of data accuracy, accessibility, and quality principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, structure, and maintenance of relational databases, data warehouses, and cloud-based data solutions.
• Develop and maintain data models, pipelines, and logical workflows.

• Write and optimize SQL queries and Python-based data processes.
• Support Snowflake development, administration, and data integration activities.

• Translate technical requirements and complex data concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Create clear visualizations and documentation for data models, workflows, and solution designs.
• Troubleshoot data issues and contribute to creative, scalable solutions.
