Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. seeks a Technical Diagnostic Specialist in Santa Clara to support service readiness for new products and to transfer processes to sustaining teams. You will work closely with engineering during assembly, documentation and testing of new products.

The role requires 4–6 years of technical experience, strong electromechanical troubleshooting, and proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and test platforms. Occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4–6 years of technical experience in engineering roles.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and propose solutions to electromechanical failure modes.
• Proficient with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and test equipment.
• GMP/GDP and Quality Systems Regulations knowledge.
• LEAN/Six-Sigma experience and data-driven problem solving.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Travel up to 5–10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support Service readiness for incoming new products and transfers to sustaining teams.
• Collaborate with engineering during assembly, documentation, and testing.
• Execute test protocols and document results for engineering feedback.
• Maintain tooling, fixtures, and a clean, organized workspace.
• Uphold 6S standards and assist with continuous improvement of procedures.
