Intuitive Surgical in Sunnyvale, CA, seeks a Software Test Engineer to test da Vinci System software and participate in Field Service software development. You will write and execute test protocols for functional software on da Vinci hardware.

The role requires hands-on testing of embedded software, documentation of results, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to debug issues and improve product reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience testing embedded software at unit, integration or system level is required.
• Strong Engineering/SQA/Software Test background.
• Hands-on engineering experience with a proven ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively (written and oral).
• Must demonstrate proficiency in Windows O/S and in all Microsoft Office applications.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and execute test protocols for verification and validation of field service software.
• Protocol Development and Execution: support the development of design requirements; participate in design documentation review.
• Run software evaluation labs to assess software features and diagnostic tools during development.
• Log issues in the tracking system; work with cross-functional teams to debug.
• Learn the SW build process to effectively execute, monitor, and troubleshoot builds.
