Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead capital projects across multiple poultry processing facilities. You will drive planning, execution, and handoff from design through commissioning while improving plant performance, safety, and reliability.

The role requires coordinating with Engineering, Plant Operations, Maintenance, and external contractors to deliver on time and within budget. Located at one of Pilgrim’s facilities (Marshville NC, Nacogdoches TX, or Sumter SC), this

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
3–5 years of previous experience required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD skills. Strong communication, project management, analytical, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

Creation of capital budgeted projects and expenditures for the poultry processing plants.
Serve as Project Lead on projects, developing timelines, coordinating support, and tracking progress.
Primary liaison between Contractors and plant personnel assisting in layouts, verification of utilities, and weekend supervision of Contractors.
Plan and attend safety meetings surrounding projects including enforcement as needed.
Coordinate utilities for work, involving relocation of existing utilities and installation of new utilities.
Maintain and improve as-built drawings, drawing retention, and version control across facilities.
Perform other projects/assignments as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
