Job summary

RTX seeks a Sr Principal Digital Design Engineer in Tucson, AZ, to design and analyze digital circuitry for missile applications. The role focuses on hardware design, FPGA, memory and high-speed interfaces, working onsite with a highly skilled team.

You will lead design from concept to prototype and verification, collaborating across multi‑discipline teams while ensuring producibility and testability of complex circuit card assemblies.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of engineering digital circuit design experience including development and design of electronic circuit designs.
• Ability to take a design concept to a complete hardware design and verify via test and integration.
• Experience with PCB design process and tools for schematic capture, analysis and simulation.

Responsibilities

• Design, analysis, simulation, test and integration of digital modules for Missile applications.
• Collaborate with engineers to implement high‑speed digital electronics, configurable logic and multi‑processor designs.
• Work with industry interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI and UART.
