Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support electroplating and chemical processing in a landing gear MRO facility. You will ensure process stability, troubleshoot plating challenges, and drive improvements in safety, quality, and throughput.

You will work with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Laboratory teams to ensure compliant, well-documented processes and effective shop-floor execution.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Experience in industrial electroplating or electrochemical processing.
• Experience with plating chemistry and process controls.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and develop clear documentation.
• Experience investigating technical problems and implementing corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical engineering support for electroplating and chemical processing operations.
• Troubleshoot defects and process instability to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Analyze bath chemistry and process performance to identify improvements.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing work instructions and procedures.
• Lead qualification and requalification activities and coordinate testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new processes.
