Job summary

RTX is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to drive baseline metrics, quality improvement, and APQP initiatives on the production floor in an onsite role. The position requires a STEM degree and 5 years of related experience, with the ability to obtain a U.S.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) or other technical field with 5 years related experience.
Experience identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions in cross-functional processes.
Experience with quality metrics and verification methods for long-term improvement.
Experience with manufacturing processes, interpreting drawings, BOMs and process control.

Responsibilities

Baseline factory metrics and forecast demand for top drivers and improvement opportunities.
Drive manufacturing quality through hardware inspection and cross-functional collaboration to root cause corrective action.
Perform process walks, operator observations, and lead discussions to reduce variation.
Engage supplier quality teams to ensure containment and backflow of issues.
Lead APQP initiatives (PFMEA, control plans, SPC) and verify improvements.
Identify supplier escapes and ensure proper containment with SQM.
