Job summary

RTX in Forest, MS is seeking a Principal Specialist to join our Production Control team. This role will align material availability, production schedules, and contractual requirements in MRP and Shop Floor Control systems.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in planning or production control, experience with MRP/ERP, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Onsite in Forest, MS with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience with relevant experience in planning, scheduling, production control, or related fields.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems and manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for coordinating with programs and shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
• Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure resources are available.
• Working daily to confirm material supply availability and resolve shortages impacting build.
• Preparing purchase requests for components based on master production schedule, shop load, and inventory needs.
• Collaborating with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting products.
• Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions; taking corrective action on unfavorable trends.
• Accountable for achieving KPIs for the assigned product line.
• Maintaining stacked LOB and extracting impact data for weekly IPT/PPR meetings.
