Job summary

RTX in Forest, MS is seeking a Principal Specialist to join our Production Control team. This role will align material availability, production schedules, and contractual requirements in MRP and Shop Floor Control systems.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in planning or production control, experience with MRP/ERP, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. Onsite in Forest, MS with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

  • Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions; taking corrective action on unfavorable trends.
  • Accountable for achieving KPIs for the assigned product line.
  • Maintaining stacked LOB and extracting impact data for weekly IPT/PPR meetings.

Raytheon is seeking a Principal Specialistto join our Production Control team in Forest, MS. This critical role will be responsible for the alignment between material availability, production schedule, and contractual requirements in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Shop Floor Control systems. The successful candidate must have effective communication skills, an understanding of MRP in a manufacturing environment, and an aptitude for innovative solutions.

What You Will Do:
  • Evaluating and coordinating program requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements.
  • Providing status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided as needed.
  • Working daily to confirm material supply availability.
  • Preparing purchase requests for components based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
  • Working with program support staff to resolve material shortages and other issues impacting product build.
  • Reporting on and troubleshooting MRP system generated exceptions; and taking corrective action on unfavorable trends as necessary.
  • Accountable for achieving organizational Key Performance Metrics (KPIs) for the assigned product line
  • Responsible for maintaining stacked LOB and extracting impact data for weekly analysis in support of IPT/PPR meetings with programs.
  • This role will be onsite in our Forest, MS Facility.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience to include planning, scheduling, production control, supply chain, manufacturing, operations, finance, or relevant project management experience.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience utilizing lean manufacturing concepts with a proven track record of lean or six sigma project implementations.
  • Experience with ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
