Job summary

Arauco in Albany, GA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Scheduler to coordinate and optimize maintenance activities at the Duraflake site. This onsite role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires strong CMMS proficiency, planning discipline, and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities include backlog prioritization, weekly scheduling, outage coordination, and ensuring safe work practices. Candidates should have 3-5+ years in manufacturing and familiarity with SAP PM/Maximo.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience with CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo).
Strong planning, scheduling, and organizational skills; MS Project familiarity is a plus.
Demonstrated leadership, facilitation, and cross-functional communication skills.
Knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance and asset management principles.

Responsibilities

Lead weekly, monthly and annual maintenance meetings to review priorities, backlog, and schedule adherence.
Review and prioritize maintenance backlog weekly using SAP; hold cadence meetings with area owners.
Build weekly, monthly and annual maintenance activity schedules.
Prints and builds work packets for assigned resources.
Coordinate and ensure materials are available for weekly work activities with stores.
Coordinate minor and major planned outages/turnarounds: scope, timelines, contractor coordination, resources.
Oversee lockout/tagout procedures, work permits, and safe work practices for scheduled jobs.
Collaborate with area owners to understand critical priorities across operations.
Escalate safety-critical or urgent notifications to maintenance/operations leadership.
Escalate work priorities to planning group to meet critical needs and dates.
Monitor monthly maintenance and outage budgets against plan targets.
Work with site financial and purchasing to establish accurate order/material data.
Ensure maintenance notifications and work requests are properly screened and prioritized before planning queue entry.
Ensure all work orders have proper scope, operations, materials, and coding before scheduling.
Review maintenance KPIs such as schedule compliance, backlog age, PM completion rates, and technician hours for performance improvement.
Take on minor work planning responsibilities as needed.
Designate temporary coverage to maintain continuity during absences.
