Job summary

Dobbs Defense Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Information System Security Officer to support a large DoD enterprise IT program at JBAB. The ISSO will work with engineering and cybersecurity teams to implement RMF, monitor security controls, and maintain compliance throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires DoD RMF expertise, top clearance eligibility, and strong collaboration across ISSEs, audits, and accreditation activities to strengthen overall security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field; six years of cybersecurity experience may substitute for a degree.
• Minimum of six years supporting cybersecurity or Information Assurance programs, including ISSO experience in large-scale enterprise IT.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CAP, or equivalent) required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain RMF documentation and security artifacts to support system authorization and compliance.
• Collaborate with ISSEs and technical teams to implement and validate security controls throughout the SDLC.
• Monitor the security posture and ensure compliance with DoD policies, standards, and regulations.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability reviews, and audits using ACAS, SCAP tools, and STIGs; track remediation.
• Support the ATO process by maintaining documentation and assisting with accreditation activities.
• Provide cybersecurity guidance, risk analysis, and continuous monitoring support.
