Job summary

Hologic’s Breast & Skeletal Health division seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer, NPD, to design and advance electronics for imaging systems. This hands-on role in Newark, DE will work with test equipment, prototypes, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable medical devices that impact patient care.

Responsibilities include driving design from concept to transfer, validating parts and assemblies, and supporting manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• Typically 5–8+ years in electrical/electronic design.
• Experience in FDA-regulated medical devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot PCBs, power distribution, cables, and harnesses for medical imaging products.
• Own portions of the electrical design process from concept through design transfer and manufacturing support.
• Specify and test electronic and electro-mechanical components to meet product requirements and regulatory standards.
• Build and maintain prototypes, test fixtures, and test setups; define test methods to qualify designs.
• Provide technical support for manufacturing and service issues; drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Create and maintain design documentation (schematics, specs, verification reports) per design control procedures.
• Collaborate with mechanical, systems, software, compliance, reliability, and manufacturing teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to cost reduction and quality improvements.
