Job summary

Ledgent is seeking a Senior Accountant (Cost/Inventory) for an onsite role in East Bay, CA. The position offers a salary range of $85,000–$115,000 in a Manufacturing/CPG environment and requires strong cost accounting and inventory management experience.

You will own monthly close activities, analyze variances, support budgeting, and ensure GAAP compliance while collaborating with operations, supply chain, and finance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including manufacturing cost accounting.
• Experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly inventory and cost accounting close activities.
• Analyze inventory balances, reserves, variances, and manufacturing costs.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Monitor standard costs and assist with cost roll-ups and updates.
• Partner with operations to investigate inventory discrepancies and variances.
• Support physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Analyze labor, overhead, material, and production variances.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and operational analysis.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and strengthen internal controls.
