Job summary

SK hynix America is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team in West Lafayette, IN. The role focuses on managing standard costing, analyzing manufacturing costs, and supporting cost reporting and budgeting.

The successful candidate will have strong cost accounting knowledge, robust inventory valuation skills, and collaboration with operations to drive cost efficiency in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing accounting.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the cost accounting system, including standard costing and cost allocations.
• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and production performance.
• Prepare and review cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory valuation reports.
• Monitor and analyze inventory transactions and ensure accurate inventory accounting.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to cost accounting.
• Conduct variance analysis for materials, labor, and overhead, and provide actionable insights to management.
