Job summary

Project Resource Collective is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support a major power generation infrastructure project in Delta, Utah. The Commissioning Manager will lead commissioning activities from construction turnover through startup, testing, system acceptance, and final project turnover.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
• 5–10+ years of commissioning experience on large, complex construction or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading or managing commissioning activities.
• Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, and/or control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Experience coordinating commissioning activities across engineering, construction, subcontractor, vendor, and client teams.
• Prior client-facing project experience and exposure to large utility, substation, power generation, or major infrastructure projects; HVDC knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities from planning through final turnover and acceptance.
• Develop and execute commissioning plans, schedules, procedures, and turnover strategies.
• Coordinate division of responsibilities between project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management to confirm system readiness.
• Oversee pre-functional testing, functional testing, system energization, startup, and commissioning.
• Review drawings, specifications, and technical requirements related to commissioning.
• Interface with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and stakeholders throughout the process.
• Identify, track, and resolve commissioning issues, deficiencies, and punch-list items.
• Maintain alignment between subcontractors and stakeholder teams on scope and schedule.
• Manage commissioning documentation, test records, reports, turnover packages, and closeout requirements.
• Ensure activities comply with safety, quality, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
• Support training and turnover activities for operations and maintenance personnel.
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
