Job summary

Related Midwest, the Chicago office of Related Companies, is hiring a Senior Accountant to manage development accounting for assigned projects. The role involves mentoring juniors, leading general ledger work, and ensuring accurate monthly close and reporting.

The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of real estate accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and proficiency with JD Edwards, Textura, and eBuilder. This on-site position in Chicago reports to the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in real estate development and general contracting.
• Strong organization, detail-orientation, and ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review/AP/AR, payroll analysis, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and journal entries per GAAP.
• Support consolidation, management reporting, and project profitability analyses.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external contacts to produce high-quality reports.
• Assist with annual audits and process improvements.
