SHR Talent, partnering with a residential homebuilding client in Nashville, TN, seeks a Senior Accountant. This onsite role offers growth with exposure to AP, GL, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and multi-entity accounting within residential construction/real estate.

The Senior Accountant will own activities across multiple entities, starting with accounts payable and expanding to entity-level accounting and reporting. CPA is preferred but not required; 1–5+ years of experience expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• CPA certification or progress toward CPA licensure is preferred but not required.
• 1–5+ years of professional accounting experience; senior/ledger roles preferred.
• Experience with AP, bank reconciliations, GL, journal entries and month-end close.

Responsabilités

• Manage accounts payable and invoice processing across entities with coding and approvals.
• Own accounting activities for select entities including bank reconciliations and GL activity.
• Prepare journal entries, account analysis, and support month-end close.
• Research discrepancies, reconcile accounts, and support financial reporting.
• Collaborate with leadership to improve processes, controls, and workflows.
