Job summary

CTR Group is seeking a Scrum Master to support Agile teams in Newport News, VA. This onsite role includes 2 contract positions for one year or longer, with weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will coach teams, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and drive continuous improvement across projects. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of Scrum Master experience, strong Agile knowledge, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field strongly preferred.
• 2+ years of Scrum Master experience in Agile environments.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile frameworks, and servant leadership.
• Experience facilitating cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and foster collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and team members to ensure priorities are clearly defined and understood.
• Identify and remove impediments that may impact sprint commitments or project timelines.
• Monitor team performance and Agile metrics to support transparency and delivery success.
• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and self-organizing team culture.
• Assist with backlog refinement, sprint planning, and release planning activities.
• Promote effective communication among technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support organizational Agile maturity through coaching and best-practice implementation.
• Facilitate risk identification and resolution while helping teams maintain focus on business objectives.
