Job summary

E-Therapy is seeking an Onsite School Occupational Therapist (OTR) to serve PreK-12 students in Dearborn Heights, MI for the 26/27 school year. This full-time role starts ASAP and requires 37.5 hours per week onsite at two campuses.

You will evaluate motor skills and sensory processing, develop individualized goals, and collaborate with teachers, parents and staff. MI OT license and NBCOT certification are required; school-based experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
• Must hold valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the practicing state.
• Must be Registered with the National Board Certification Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
• Passionate about working with K-12 students.
• Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
• Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in pediatric OT.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; collaborate with students, parents, and school staff.
• Knowledge of sensory integration therapy, handwriting without tears, and other therapeutic modalities (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.
• Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to address students' needs and promote skill development.
• Monitor and document students' progress towards goals, adjusting plans as needed.
• Provide consultation and support to teachers and school staff regarding participation strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support academic and functional needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to education planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
