A school-based Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) is sought to provide school-based OT services to students in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. The OT will evaluate student needs, provide individualized interventions, and collaborate with school teams to help students participate successfully in academic and daily school activities.

Qualifications

• Current NBCOT certification/registration as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education services preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services.
• Support fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor, self-care, and functional school skills.
• Develop and monitor OT goals included in students' IEPs.
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers.
• Recommend adaptive equipment, accommodations, and strategies when appropriate.
