Job summary

TactStaff Edu is seeking a School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in elementary and middle schools in the Detroit Metro Area for the 2026–2027 school year.

This is a full-time, onsite opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working as part of a school team and is comfortable supporting students receiving special education services, including students with cognitive impairments and varying communication needs.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active Michigan LARA Speech-Language Pathology license required.
• ASHA certification/CCC-SLP preferred.
• Previous school-based experience preferred.
• Experience working with students with cognitive impairments or significant disabilities is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary school team.
• Must be available to work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Support students in elementary and middle school settings.
• Conduct assessments and provide individualized speech and language services.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goals and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, families, and other related-service providers.
