Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing in El Paso, TX seeks a Safety Manager for a long-term 1099 contract on a data center underground utility project. The role requires 50–60+ hour weeks, Monday through Saturday, with day shifts and on-site presence to enforce OSHA standards.

You will lead safety programs, conduct inspections, and coordinate with subs, while delivering toolbox talks in English and Spanish. BCSP certification and OSHA 500 are preferred.

Qualifications

• BCSP certification with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Active OSHA 500 certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Enforce OSHA regulations and site-specific safety programs.
• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and hazard assessments.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings in English and Spanish.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, and underground utility operations.
• Identify, document, and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project management, superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting records.
