Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing in El Paso, TX is seeking a Safety Manager for a 2-year, 1099 contractor role on a large underground utility data center project. You will oversee field safety related to excavation, trenching and underground installation, ensuring OSHA compliance and site safety plans.

This on-site position requires strong field presence, bilingual English/Spanish communication, and collaboration with craft labor, supervisors, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• BCSP certification and minimum years of safety field experience.
• Active OSHA 500 certification required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish for field leadership.

Responsibilities

• Enforce OSHA regulations and site-specific safety programs.
• Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and hazard assessments.
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings in English and Spanish.
• Monitor excavation, trenching, and underground utility operations.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project management, superintendents, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting records.
