Job summary

Gallagher is seeking an onsite safety liaison focused on construction and fire safety. You will conduct job site inspections to ensure conformance with federal, state and local standards, document unsafe conditions, and contribute to loss control inspections with brokers and regulatory officials.

Reporting to the project management team, you will lead onsite safety meetings, perform new worker orientations, and may supervise onsite staff to support client needs and regulatory oversight on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science required.
• 6+ years in engineering or safety/health consulting.
• Registration/designation such as CIH, CSP or PE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform onsite site inspections to monitor construction and fire safety conformance.
• Investigate accidents with interviews, photos and written reports.
• Coordinate with clients and regulators on loss control and inspections.
• Lead safety meetings and tool box talks; conduct new worker orientations.
• May supervise onsite staff as part of project delivery.
