Gallagher is seeking an onsite safety liaison focused on construction and fire safety. You will conduct job site inspections to ensure conformance with federal, state and local standards, document unsafe conditions, and contribute to loss control inspections with brokers and regulatory officials.
Reporting to the project management team, you will lead onsite safety meetings, perform new worker orientations, and may supervise onsite staff to support client needs and regulatory oversight on site.
Acting as an onsite safety liaison with primary focus in construction and fire safety, incumbent(s) will conduct job site inspections to monitor conformance with construction and fire safety standards and coordinate with the project management team to help improve safety on the jobsite. Inspects site to determine if conditions meet the required federal, state and local standards and documents any unsafe conditions. Provides comprehensive accident investigations that include interview, photographs and written report. Coordinates with client and participates in loss control inspections with insurance brokers and/or carrier representatives and accompany all regulatory officials on site inspections. Coordinates onsite safety meetings and appropriate tool box talks. Performs new worker orientations. May supervise onsite staff.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science. Minimum 6 years experience in engineering or safety and health consulting. Registration or designation in one or more of the following technical areas: Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional or Professional Engineer. Prior experience in profit and loss management for consulting.
