Job summary

Fisk Electric Co. in Houston, TX is seeking a Site Safety Representative to join our team on active construction projects. You will monitor daily activities, enforce OSHA and customer safety requirements, and lead safety briefings.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, hazard analyses, training field staff, maintaining SDS and safety docs, and supporting return-to-work processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction credential required; First Aid and CPR certifications required.
• Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and electrical safety practices.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and apply safety controls to field activities.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and coach field staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide onboarding and safety orientation for new employees.
• Maintain a visible site presence to monitor daily activities, identify hazards, and enforce safety compliance.
• Lead investigations of near misses, injuries, and safety incidents; complete root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and field training; coach employees and supervisors on safe work practices.
• Maintain SDS documentation and support Hazard Communication Program; coordinate with project teams.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration or related field (preferred)

OSHA 30-Hour Construction

First Aid/CPR certifications

Reading electrical drawings

Effective communication and trainingAbility to coach field teams
