Job summary

Gallagher Bassett seeks an onsite safety liaison focused on construction and fire safety. You will inspect sites, document conditions, and coordinate with project teams to enhance safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science and at least 6 years in engineering or safety consulting, with professional registrations such as CIH, CSP, or PE. Occasional supervision of onsite staff may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering or safety and health consulting.
• Registration or designation in one or more of CIH, CSP or PE.

Responsibilities

• Conduct onsite safety inspections focusing on construction and fire safety.
• Document unsafe conditions and coordinate with the project management team to improve safety on site.
• Lead comprehensive accident investigations with interviews, photos and reports.
• Coordinate with clients and participate in loss control inspections with insurers and regulators.
• Lead onsite safety meetings and toolbox talks; perform new worker orientations; may supervise onsite staff.
