Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Consultant to provide on-site safety leadership across construction, industrial, and energy projects in the United States. You will partner with project teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in EHS, knowledge of OSHA regulations, and proven ability to conduct field audits, investigations, and training.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry safety best practices.
• Experience conducting field audits, inspections, and safety training.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, supervisors, and workers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily field safety observations, inspections, and audits.
• Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and site safety requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Prepare safety reports for clients and stakeholders.
• Facilitate toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Review JHAs, AHAs, permits, and safe work plans.
• Support high-risk activities including fall protection, LOTO, confined space, crane operations, excavation, hot work, electrical safety.
