Job summary

Gallagher Bassett in the United States is seeking an onsite safety liaison focused on construction and fire safety. You will conduct job site inspections to verify conformance with federal, state and local standards and work with the project management team to improve on-site safety.

Required: bachelor's degree in engineering or science, a minimum of 6 years in engineering or safety consulting, and credentials such as CIH, CSP or PE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or science is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in engineering or safety consulting.
• Registration or designation in one or more of CIH, CSP or PE.
• Prior experience in profit and loss management for consulting.

Responsibilities

• Acting as an onsite safety liaison with primary focus in construction and fire safety, conducting job site inspections to monitor conformance with standards, and coordinating with the project management team to improve safety on the jobsite.
• Inspects site to determine if conditions meet standards and documents any unsafe conditions.
• Provides comprehensive accident investigations including interviews, photographs and written reports.
• Coordinates with client and participates in loss control inspections with brokers or carriers, and accompanies regulatory officials on site inspections.
• Coordinates onsite safety meetings and toolbox talks; may supervise onsite staff.
