Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Safety Inspector to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will oversee the Safety Program, ensure compliance with USACE safety requirements, and promote a safe work environment for all personnel.

The role requires conducting risk assessments, performing inspections, investigating incidents, and maintaining thorough documentation. Travel may be required; prior experience in government or military settings is preferred, and a passport is necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety inspection or program implementation, preferably in government or military settings.
• Familiarity with safety standards and Health and Safety requirements.
• Ability to prepare and maintain comprehensive safety reports and records.
• Strong hazard identification and risk mitigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a Safety Program compliant with safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and monitor site compliance.
• Prepare detailed safety reports, findings, and corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide safety training and guidance to site personnel.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
