Aleut Federal, LLC is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to plan, manage, and support environmental safety and health for assigned projects in Alaska. You will work with project managers, ES&H leadership, and clients to ensure compliant safety programs and proactive risk controls on site.

You will lead safety inspections, training, and incident investigations, while developing AHAs and ensuring adherence to EM 385-1-1 and OSHA standards across all activities.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Construction, Health & Safety or related field (IH emphasis).
• OSHA 30-hour General or Construction Safety training.
• COSS, ASP, CSP or OHST certifications.
• EM 385 knowledge and experience.
• 5–7 years of safety experience in construction/industrial settings.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Safety Program Management for assigned projects, ensuring APP/EM 385-1-1/OSHA compliance.
• Conduct on-site safety inspections and enforce corrective actions; stop work if unsafe.
• Develop and review AHAs prior to work activities; communicate to workers.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, ES&H Manager, and client representatives on safety requirements.
• Provide safety training and toolbox talks; document findings and actions.
• Prepare safety reports, incident investigations, and audits; ensure proper documentation.
