Job summary

Farmer Focus is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support a proactive safety culture. The role requires being on the production floor at least 80% of the time, conducting safety observations, and addressing safety concerns with supervisors and employees.

You will assist with investigations, support training, and maintain comprehensive safety records. The position is full-time and onsite, with minimal travel and a focus on timely corrective actions that protect staff and product quality.

Qualifications

• Previous safety experience required.
• Strong computer skills, including comfort with safety documentation, reporting, and data entry.
• Willing and available to work either 1st or 2nd shift.
• Able to spend at least 80% of working time on the production floor.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Accountable, organized, proactive, and comfortable holding others accountable for safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Spend a minimum of 80% of working time actively present on the production floor.
• Conduct safety observations, inspections, and audits.
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Assist with incident investigations and documentation.
• Support safety training, huddles, and employee communication.
• Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
• Monitor compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Work directly with supervisors, leads, and employees to address safety concerns.
• Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
• Follow up on corrective actions and ensure safety concerns are addressed timely.
