Job summary

Stellant Systems in Melville, NY is seeking an RF Engineering Technician to perform RF microwave, analog and digital testing of electronic assemblies onsite. You will read schematics, configure test setups, and calibrate equipment to meet specifications.

Qualifications

• RF devices and microprocessor experience required.
• RF test equipment: network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, etc. all required.
• RF microwave tuning experience highly preferred.
• RF microwave soldering/assembly experience. J-Std certification highly preferred.
• Costpoint, ERP systems, Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform fundamental and repetitive tests of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies (RF Microwave, Analog and Digital) to determine if the assemblies meet specification.
• Setup and configuration of RF microwave test setups for both CW and Pulse applications.
• Setup and configuration of both digital and analog subassembly test setups using standard laboratory equipment.
• Work from schematics, specifications, sketches, or other authorized information to determine performance requirements of equipment being tested.
• Repair, adjust, and calibrate equipment to bring it within requirements.
• Active soldering and mechanical assembly of equipment to repair, adjust and calibrate equipment.
