Job summary

CFS is seeking a Restaurant Bookkeeper for our Washington, DC location. This is a 100% onsite role with paid parking and a five-day, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM schedule. You’ll work Mondays and choose Saturday or Sunday plus one weekday off, with one weekend day required.

You will be the primary onsite bookkeeping resource, interfacing with the corporate team and restaurant leadership. Strong attention to detail and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on bookkeeping, accounting or related financial experience.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Comfortable learning and using multiple software systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to manage recurring deadlines independently.
• Strong communication with employees and managers onsite.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite Bookkeeper/accounting resource for the restaurant.
• Prepare weekly payroll information, review hours, timecards and tips for accuracy.
• Submit payroll information, new hires and changes to corporate payroll.
• Coordinate new-hire onboarding and employee documentation.
• Enter and review daily sales information.
• Handle invoice entry and follow up on missing or outstanding invoices.
• Assist with cash activity, deposits and related reporting.
• Prepare recurring daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Work with restaurant managers to resolve payroll, invoice and accounting questions.
• Keep financial and employee records accurate, organized and on schedule.
• Partner with the corporate accounting team for support and reconciliations.
