Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive care across hospital settings including ICU, NICU, PICU, and outpatient clinics. You will manage ventilators, perform airway interventions, and coordinate with care teams to optimize patient outcomes.

The role requires strong physiology knowledge, BLS certification, and experience with EHR/EMR systems. You will also educate patients and families on respiratory health and device use in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist license or certification recognized by relevant regulatory bodies.
• Experience in hospital medicine, ICU, emergency medicine or critical care environments.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in ventilator management and airway management techniques.
• Experience with EHR/EMR documentation.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' respiratory status by evaluating vital signs and oxygen saturation.
• Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen delivery and aerosol treatments.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, nebulizers and other devices.
• Manage ventilator settings to support critically ill patients.
• Respond to cardiac arrest emergencies and participate in resuscitation protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across ICU, NICU, PICU, trauma centers.
• Document patient care activities in EHR while ensuring compliance with policies.
• Support neonatal resuscitation procedures as needed.
• Monitor vital signs during therapy and ensure safety.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory health and device use.
