Job summary

CHRISTUS Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive pulmonary care across adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician supervision. This role includes airway management, ventilator setup, aerosolized medications, oxygen delivery, and patient assessments.

You will perform diagnostic procedures, document thoroughly, and participate in CAP/JC surveys while potentially serving as a shift or team lead.

Qualifications

• Licensure and/or certification requirements must be met.
• 2–3 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies (Code Blue/White).
• Airway management incl. nasotracheal & endotracheal suctioning.
• Deliver aerosolized drugs.
• Ventilator management and setup.
• Oxygen delivery and monitoring.
• Chest film analysis and blood gas analysis.
• Document accurately and completely.
• Clean and stock equipment; participate in CAP and JC surveys.
• RRTs may serve as Shift Leader or Team Leader.
• Advanced practice: INO/HeO2, PFT, bronchoscopy assist.
