Job summary

Institute for Community Living Inc. is seeking an Associate Program Director to support the Program Director in overseeing clinical, administrative, operational, and regulatory aspects of a residential mental health program in Brooklyn, NY.

The role ensures a safe, therapeutic environment and coordinates services with staff and external partners. The position requires a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related field, QMHS qualifications per OMH Part 593, and supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field.
• Minimum one year of supervisory or administrative experience preferred.
• Must meet QMHS qualifications per OMH Part 593 regulations.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Direct clinical services in the Program Director’s absence or as delegated.
• Oversee development and review of service plans.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for residents.
• Assist with intake, assessment, and pre-placement processes.
• Provide clinical oversight of assessments, rehabilitative services, counseling, and crisis intervention.
• Oversee discharge planning and coordination of community resources.
• Monitor staff morale and address harassment or discrimination concerns.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
