Job summary

Lennox International is seeking a Product Development Engineer to contribute to the design and development of commercial refrigeration equipment. You will support production, perform investigations, and implement refrigeration control tests, sizing components and piping systems while qualifying equipment to meet agency requirements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, and drive tools, testing, and documentation to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in design and development of Refrigeration/HVAC.
• Experience with HVAC/R systems for design, development and qualification.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for production drawings.
• Strong technical expertise in design, testing and certification of refrigeration systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP; CAD experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop commercial refrigeration equipment including condensers and coolers.
• Support production through maintenance engineering and investigations.
• Size and select system components and design refrigerant piping.
• Develop test procedures and qualify equipment for agency standards.
• Create plans, test plans, and coordinate lab testing with stakeholders.
• Lead multi‑project efforts and ensure on-time completion.
